Coating Agents

THICKNOL : an acid containing cross linked Acrylic Co-polymer Emulsion Solutions of THICKNOL suspends pigments, abrasives and finely divided solids. Unlike other thickeners, THICKNOL has little flocculation. Also solutions of THICKNOL are compatible with soaps, detergents and dispersing agents.

Silent Features : Foaming of product can be controlled with addition of defoaming agent in small quantities.

Film Properties :

Films of THICKNOL are clear and a little brittle. Film prepared from ammonium salt or other volatile amines are less sensitive to water then those from Na Salt. Soft films can be made by addition of glycerine or other glycols, while reaction with Zinc ammonia complex produces a water insoluble film on drying.

Applications : Thicken only in conjunction with an additional thickening agent.
TEXACOAT-NW contains no SBR Latex.

Application:
(A) : LICK ROLLAR METHOD : 30 parts of TEXACOAT-NW 10 to 15% parts of THICKNOL (An acrylic Thickening Agent.) on the weight of TEXACOAT-NW. 67 parts of water Ammonia to bring pH to 8 Total 100 Parts

Recommended : A range of 15%

to DOSAGE : 30% add on the weight of the substrate.

Shelf Life : 3 months.

Storage : To be stored at room temperature.
