Stability	When applied in the concentrations and recipes commonly used in practice, STABIZOL-HP is stable to hard water and to reductive and oxidative bleaching agents. It is also stable in acid liquors at >pH 4 and caustic soda solutions in concentrations upto those used in mercerizing.

Applications

Effects : STABIZOL-HP improves stabilization of the peroxide by virtue of its dispersing and anti-catalytical effects. This is demonstrated by the better degree of whiteness and the better absorptivity of the treated textile material. STABIZOL-HP is used preferably in cases where relatively heavily soiled cotton that has not been properly precleaned passes into the peroxide bleach.
However, for stain removal operations a dosage of 3 to 5% O.W.G. is recommended.

Note : Despite the good anti-catalytical effect of STABIZOL-HP, it is better to remove the catalysts before bleaching, because it is difficult to control a masking of catalysts in the bleach liquor.

In the presence of magnesium ions, the product also acts as a peroxide stabilizer. Overdosage of STABIZOL-HP may, however, also impair the stability of the bleach liquor.
