Dying Auxiliaries

AZALAN (A crease preventive lubricating agent for dyeing, washing, bleaching, milling and scouring operations.)

Properties :

Appearance : Ionic Charge Density	Colourless pourable liquid. Non-Ionic. 1.0 gm/cm.
pH	6 + 1.: 1% Solution
Stability	Stable to Acid, Alkali and Electrolytes.
Salient Features	AZALAN is non Surface Active and therefore does not influence dyeing in any manner. *(Note :* Caustic Soda concentration exceeding 10g/l. will require pre bulk trials.) AZALAN is non reactive. AZALAN confers excellent lubricating, sliding and smoothness to substrate. Hence creating favourable condition for obtaining creaseless goods. AZALAN lowers co-efficient to friction of fibre to fibre and fibre to metal. AZALAN prevents mechanical abrasion damages. AZALAN can be removed or rinsed easily from the fabric, as it is non reactive. AZALAN is absolutely non foaming by nature. However, it does not contain any defoaming ingredients and is not a defoamer. AZALAN is suitable for washing, bleaching, and dyeing operations on jet dyeing machines and winches, vats or drum dyeing machines as well. AZALAN helps in level dyeing on account of superior lubrication. AZALAN does not impair dye fastness or have any deleterious effect on dye shade. AZALAN does not retard of accelerate dyeing. AZALAN is compatible with all dyestuff and auxiliaries.
Recommended Level of Application	1 to 2 gms./ltr. Or 2 to 3% O.W.G.

Application on Wool

Owing to a special action of AZALAN on wool fibres during wet finishing processes, AZALAN produces a temporary sequestration of the scale layer, thus completely preventing felting. As a consequence, the goods keep their actual properties and dimensions.

AZALAN prevents the formation of creases and mill marks when the goods are submitted to milling. In applying AZALAN the machines can be loaded with higher quantities of goods than usual and in many cases there is no need to perform any sewing of tubular goods. AZALAN may be applied also in stock liquors together with felting agents and sodium carbonate.
