AQUASTAB (Peroxide stabilizer with a dispersing action in the bleaching cellulosics)

Properties

Solubility	AQUASTAB is a mixture of complex organic polyamine compounds.
Action and Effects	Stabilizes peroxides, e.g. hydrogen peroxide, sodium peroxide, etc. in alkaline bleaching baths. It thus prevents the peroxide from decomposing too rapidly and provides optimum fibre protection. Its dispersing action prevents impurities in the cotton from redepositing in the material during bleaching and promotes their removal in the washing-off process.

Applications: Stabilizer for the alkaline peroxide bleaching, in long liquors, of cellulosic fibres and their blends with synthetic fibres.

Guideline Recipes

BLEACHING IN PACKAGE EQUIPMENT :

2 to 6 ml/l. H2O2 35%
0.5 to 1g/l. AQUASTAB
1 to 1.5g/l.NaOH100%
0.5 to 1g/l. SURFACEL
Liquor ratio 10:1
Processing temperature and time : 60 to 90min. at 90 to 100^oC

BLEACHING IN WINCHES :

2 to 4 ml/l. H2O235%
0.5 to 1g/l. AQUASTAB
1 to 1.5g/l. NaOH100%
1 to 2.0g/l. SURFACEL
Liquor ratio 15:1 to 30:1
Processing temperature : 85 to 95^oC
Processing time : 1 to 2 hrs.

For Higher hours of boil more than 2 hours.

In JT-10 Jiggers where the time of bleaching is more than 2 hours AQUASTAB must be used to get the required amount of stabilization for longer periods.

SAFETY :
We know of no ill effects that could have resulted from using AQUASTAB for the purpose for which it is intended and from processing it in accordance with current practice.

According to the experience that we have gained over may years and other information at our disposal, AQUASTAB does not exert any harmful effects on health, provided that it is used properly, due attention is given to the precautions necessary for handling chemicals, and the information and the advice given in our safety data sheet are observed.

Nature of Storage :
Mixture of polyfunctional organic and inorganic substances. When stored correctly, AQUASTAB has a shelf life of upto 12 months
